Lumistar, Inc is located in Carlsbad, California and was founded by a group of experienced telemetry engineers who wanted to create a "customer friendly" telemetry company. It seems to us that some of the other telemetry vendors have lost respect for their customers, charge outrageous prices for proprietary systems, have poor delivery and unacceptable quality control. If your current telemetry supplier is not in this category, you are indeed fortunate, but if this describes your supplier you may want to consider working with Lumistar. Lumistar's key employees have extensive and varied experience (more than 100 years total) in the design of both airborne and ground telemetry systems. This experience was gained at several different telemetry companies throughout the United States, but most recently, all of the key people were with SBS Telemetry and Communications (formerly called Berg Systems International).

Lumistar's primary business expertise is the design and manufacture of board-level telemetry products for PCI, VME, cPCI, and ISA computer buses. We also integrate these boards into desktop, rack mount, or rugged portable computers for quick-look telemetry applications, and stand-alone products such as bit synchronizers, telemetry receivers and diversity combiners. Airborne telemetry components are also available including data and video transmitters, bit synchronizers, and receivers.

Lumistar was formed by John Reeser and David Penharlow with the belief that the Customer is number one, and what is good for the customer is good for Lumistar.
